Sleep Apnea

Sleep apnea is a serious condition that affects your breathing during sleep, often causing loud snoring, restless nights, and excessive daytime fatigue. In more severe cases, it can also increase the risk of hypertension, heart disease, stroke, and other health problems.

The most common form—obstructive sleep apnea (OSA)occurs when the airway becomes blocked during sleep, usually due to the soft tissues in the throat collapsing and obstructing airflow.

Signs you may have sleep apnea:

  • Loud, chronic snoring
  • Pauses in breathing during sleep
  • Waking up gasping or choking
  • Excessive daytime sleepiness

If left untreated, sleep apnea can significantly impact your quality of life and long-term health.

Oral Appliance Therapy

A Comfortable, Non-Invasive Alternative to CPAP

For many people with mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea—or those who can’t tolerate a CPAP machine—oral appliance therapy offers an effective and convenient solution. These custom-made devices gently reposition the lower jaw and tongue to keep the airway open during sleep.

Our office uses advanced imaging to design oral appliances. If you’ve been diagnosed with sleep apnea or suspect you may have it, please contact us to see if you are a good candidate for an oral Appliance. We can help guide you through the next steps.
